 DAVID BEEBE  A native Texan, David Beebe was born and raised in Houston where he attended St. John's School and Lamar High School. He graduated from the University of Texas in 1993 with a B. A. in History. He has performed in bands since the 7th grade and managed and booked his band Banana Blender Surprise on a two year tour of the U. S. Having worked at the well-known Houston club Rockefeller's on and off for four years, he took his knowledge of the club business to the Fabulous Satellite Lounge where he was the general manager. After the Satellite he pursued musical endeavors with his band The El Orbits as well as other musical projects. In 1999 David joined up with the partners of the Continental Club in Austin to become a partner, manager, and builder of the Continental Club in Houston, in which he still maintains an interest. David is committed to making a positive difference in the community of Marfa, where he was recently elected to City Council. David has been described as a "one of a kind original" which makes him perfect to be the general manager of Padre's. Multitalented, on any given night you might find Mr. Beebe tending bar, creating a Cajun specialty back in the kitchen, or performing on stage playing bass, drums, keyboards or even crooning a soulful tune. |
